Oracle Database Administration Track :

In this basically we learn about the database management its architecture , important components (memory pools, background processes etc), managing users , making them authorized users , taking the backup of database on regular basis , performing recovery as and when required and tuning the database also i.e. making it faster than the normal transactions speed.

Oracle Developer / Programming Track :

This track allows us to perform programming like writing anonymous blocks , procedures , functions and packages as per the requirements . It has one more module that is known as GUI (Front End) i.e. creating Forms and Reports.

Building Internet Application Using Oracle Forms9i (IZO – 141)

All the above modules are 40 hours theory and 20 hours practical i.e. Total 60 hours per modules, if it is done per day 2 hours then all 2 modules can be completed in 2 months else in short we can say 1 month per oracle module is prescribed by oracle.

Once a candidate qualifies 1st module i.e. (IZO – 042)a candidate becomes OCA and if the candidate qualifies next module i.e. (IZO – 043) paper he becomes OCP and if the candidate qualifies two modules from Developer Track i.e. (IZO – 147 & IZO – 141) the candidate becomes OCA in Front End Track.
Pre-Requisite:

To learn oracle a candidate should have knowledge of basic computer operations and small idea of the database, it also requires basic day to day skills.

An Oracle 10g PC platform requires only 512MB on RAM and two GB of disk space. Its known that people have successfully installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP personal edition but it’s not a supported operating system for a Tech upgrade

Average Market Salary for Oracle professional:

If the candidate is fresher and OCA, he can get 10-12 K INR per / month . It also depends on his technical round and the interview.

For experienced candidates they can get more than 18K INR per month as the initial salary whereas whereas there is no limit on the upside.
Next Technical Upgrade:

After Completing all these papers / modules, the candidate can upgrade on higher versions of the technology i.e upgrade in 10g , 11g etc.
